Yep Interesting... Time consuming searching through everything though, I keyed in large breed, and got a list of foods but none are recommended, or none upto where i searched through to... Visit my web site: Click me
Not to say that they are wrong...But for example...They do not recommend the food that I am feeding Sirus, he is growing well, has a beautiful coat, structurally sound, etc. Yet a food they do recommend I had to take my oldest shepherd off of because she started to drop in weight, and was blowing her coat...Ever since this started I have seen more and more dogs not able to handle this same food. Does that not say something?
I understand it may all look good on paper...But if it doesn't work in real life, what's the point?

That is why we say not one thing works for every dog. This is just a good resource for info- not an end all be all. _________________________ Nikki Agrippina Mastino
Thats is a great site , and i was thourougly amazed that almost all the foods according to the review had insufficient meat!
I agree with you kate and i personally have taken a hard look at diet this past few months in regards to Nigel .
for instance i have always fed my hounds solid gold wolf king and wolf cub , exceppt waylon spent his first year on medi cal adolencent formula . nigel did not do well on this feed in fact i took him off it because he felt he was growing to fast on it (back before we knew what was up) i tried the costco brand food ...found the hounds did good on it nigel seemed to better as well not sure if its the source of protien or what ? i had then but him on an even lower protien level (underadvisment) to manage the pano ...which he never had ..Now i am feed the girls kibble is Go Natural . All my dogs get about 50 /50 between kibble raw and homemade cooked stuff ( mostly raw) and this is something i have started this past couple months with raw ..and i gotta say ALL my dogs have shinier coats , and ALL appear to be thriving(as best they can poor Nigel) and i believe its due to the raw feed i have never seen my hounds coats as shiney as they are now . Nigel as well . I really worry about the girls as with Nigel getting them what they need nutritionaly with out over growing them , i think for me as with my hounds now that they are past those formitive years with growing ..i am a little less concerned with their dry feed , i want a good solid kibble , but i am not forever monitering it . i believe that eventually i will be all raw meat with my own addiditve mixture of friut veggies , and pasta or rice . i like the kibble , because it does give them a solid base nutritionaly . and i am still learning about raw and homemade feed. I dont completly trust myself , so kibble is my crutch . i love spoiling my dogs with homemade treats ...i have some great cookie recipes , and pupsicles.
