What is the best source of protien for a neo and why?
also with puppies , i was wondering about the protien levels with kibble whats the min whats the max? and for growing puppies ..how long with puppy food ? i know some recomend no puppy food at all . they is so much conflicting information out there , it gets confusing , i would love to hear from you all on this . True and ellie , are the babies in the house , as with Nigel , and i cant help but at time ask myself if , there was anything different i could have done to maybe have ...at least helped him with his issues thru diet . or if i have done things wrong that may have added to his pain and discomfort. now i have these 2 babys here and i want to take very procotion that these growing years i give them the best i can nutritionally . so they have a solid start , for a long and happy life.
oh heres another ? how much play ? and walks ...like little ones , i know puppies arent soppose to be over exersiced , but how much is too much , do you just let em go till they are tired . or is there some sort of guidline you alll follow , my girls are full of piss and viniger at 5 months , now they really wanna play hard and run and jump , and they will go forever! they can keep up to the hound ...when he's on the lead , had them out with waylon yesterday ..and they totally kempt up . i thought they'd be good for the day ..nope had a nap and were ready to roll again . of course i didnt take em for another walk , but they ripped arounf the yard like a cuople of nuts for like 2 hours..
Raw chicken is a good source of protein, and being raw means non of the goodness is cooked out...
Only nice play allowed !! If the pups start to get a bit silly rough and start falling over each other and knocking each other no amount of supervising is going to stop them unless you have help.... Better to play safe and excercise them seperately Visit my web site: Click me
for me, Chicken does not work! it breaks Cena out. seems alot of bully breeds are allergic to chicken. i stick to dry kibble in AM and beef/hamburger at night.
watch the rough play! i would keep them with short playtime that is nice play. they can really injure there selfs. elbows, ankles, hips i have a friend who has 2 neos, 1 Bull mastiff, boxer, some mix and a bordeaux. the bull mastiff has already had both knees replaced and the older male neo(now 15m) he would let his BOXER and him wrestle and play hard. (same with the BM) and he developed shoulder problems and elbow dyplasia. its sad you would think that he would have learned with the BM ((not bowel movement LOL!!)) he was showing him and now he is neutered. and has a bad limp. hopefully he will do right with the little girl (now 8m). just supervise the play time and have it a short time. if you can stand to handle it as i've gotten use to it...organ meat works well (hearts, livers, gizzards, etc...). they also contain other anti-oxidants. we primarily use livers and hearts. its also great for giving meds or vit's with... tuna and salmon are also great sources. Anthony
its not raw...just parboiled for a minute or two so firm on the outside...still bloody/red in the middle...then containered and chilled...livers and heart i mean. once chilled...make great treats and meal additions...plus they have no probs wid the vitamins and meds. Anthony
Let's see- I use chicken, beef, pork and fish. Some use rabbit and venison too. All depends on what is available locally. Local foods = lower prices. Raw eggs are good. Mine crunch the shells up like candy. _________________________ Nikki Agrippina Mastino
Sirus's puppy food has chicken, lamb, and salmon as meat sources...
A couple of my guys at home have skin issues or kidney issues so I love feeding salmon food, since they can get the protein, but it tends to be easily disgested...
They do get beef bones...and a lot of the treats we use have fish and venison...
We can get pretty much anything you want in Toronto...You just might have to pay more for it Kate and the zoo
