So Nikki, it looks like dogs as young as 2 months can be tested? Will they accept if you test a litter of 8-12 week old pups? Would be a good way to test many at once yet may sway the results as pups that young have not had much exposure so risk would be less I would think.
I can have a mobile Vet come out and test the whole lot. If it is a matter of using the form and the shipping is free and the Vet may be reimbursed or possibly she will do it for free? - worth asking. ~Shani www.belladolcemastini.com
The vet will not be compensated, and it is at the discretion of the individual vet to perform the services for free.
I will be at the USNMC supported entry in Redmond, WA and I will be pulling blood at the show. I would be happy to make a stop off at any kennels as long as they are not too far away. It also gives me the chance to see more beautiful dogs up close :)
Cheers, Robin

Nik, Ok, I'll organize my supplies tonight, and do this tomorrow.
Would they want samples from other breeds? I can pull blood from my 2 sm if needed, perhaps just for comparision. Sorry I haven't done this before, it has been in the back of my mind for a long time...
Thanks, Nikki, for the big push! I'm trying to be responsible, and I should have done this when you first posted. As a health care person, I love research, have been involved in multiple research studies, and have seen the big changes in health care because of these studies myself! So come on people!!!

Now come on people thats an offer that cannot be refused
Nope, unless ya got a foxhound hiding in the back! LOL. The foxhound and our mastini are the two breeds involved. From what I understand the foxhound filled their 'order' quite a while ago. Now we just need to get enough neo blood!
Shani.....let me know if you work something out. I will get my pups there done. I will get to work on getting the group here with me done too!!!! I have printed everything off too!!!! Lori DeSimon - Olsen Muscle Beach Mastini
