Does anyone have a recipe for home made dog food? Right now we feed a high end kibble and our dogs are doing ok on it, but I would like to try to make my own food because I feel that even though we are feeding good kibble it is still processed food. I also think it must get boring eating the same old thing every day. I want to make sure that my dogs are getting all of the nutrients that they need though, and I am a little bit nervous about making my own food because of this. I know that a lot of you guys feed raw, but my dogs won't eat pieces of raw meat for some reason (they do enjoy the raw meaty bones that I get from the butcher though). But cook it slightly and they gobble it right up. So I do plan to slightly cook the meat. Also for dogs that are fed home made food do you guys still give supplements? Right now my dogs get Prozyme (digestive enzyme) and Liquid Health Level 5000 which is a joint supplement. If you guys have a recipe to share I would greatly appreciate it Joni Doten
To start them off with liver I bake it on a sheet pan and give it to them. Gradually cooking less and less until they are good with eating such a densely rich food with no problems. Tripe should not be cooked at all. _________________________ Nikki Agrippina Mastino
Cut it up into small pieces, freeze individually and give it frozen. They will often accept it frozen but refuse it raw. Grind the tripe and feed it semi-frozen, as well. Dog bless, McK

People food works best for Beau...JK, lol Still using kibble with either beef or chicken hearts/livers mixed in. Also feed chicken breast, pasta and rice. Not to mention steak, apples, cheese sticks, pot roast, pork tenderloin, bread, corned beef, meatballs, oops...have I said too much?
